Country Roads Physical Therapy History
Country Roads Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, LLC was started by Derek Falkenstein, P.T., and Michael Barkley, DPT. Their desire to provide their hometown of Fairmont, W.Va., with quality physical therapy and rehabilitative care with a hands-on, manual therapy focus motivated them to open Country Roads Physical Therapy. They teamed with Jerry Gardner and Randy Murray of Country Club Health and Fitness Center (now Fairmont Fitness) and opened on June 5, 2006. The health club rented space to Country Roads PT at 1499 Locust Ave. As the business grew and market changed, a new facility was built at 1509 Fairmont Ave, allowing for expanded growth for the businesses as well as providing a state-of-the-art rehabilitation clinic for the needs of Marion County residents. As word spread of the excellent treatment patients were receiving, a second location was opened to serve the East Side of Fairmont. With two successful locations in Fairmont, Country Roads PT branched out with a Buckhannon office in April 2011. This new location serves patients from Lewis County along the I-79 Corridor through Randolph and Barbour counties. The Buckhannon office is just off U.S. 33 at the Buckhannon exit, in a plaza adjacent to Wal-Mart. All three facilities are growing and expanding as demand for quality care increases.
